  • First home, thanks to Wyhndam. I went with them because: (1) competitive rates (2) decent closing costs (with $595 credit) (3) online presence making it easy to use (4) I liked the first guy I talked to - Joel V - helpfully explained everything without an ego and without being too chit chatty. So yes, initial phone personalities matter. Closed within 30 days. No major issues. Very responsive and easy to deal with, always picked up the phone. I do admit they were slightly pushy, but I guess it had to be done since we had a pretty tight timeline. Even my realtor had alot of positive things to say about them, said they were really on top of it.
