After reading raving reviews for this restaurant I was pretty adamant this was the place to stop by in Charlotte, and the entire ambiance of the restaurant is very modern and unique with parody movie posters of cow and fish making a name for the restaurant. So we were naturally excited to try out their dishes. We started with thr fried calamari and while the sauce has a swt and sour sauce tangyness the overall taste was very salty. It was so salty that while i was chewing on the calamari I also chewed bits of sea salt along with it. Moving on to the main entree we ordered the cowfish bento box which is a combination of sushi, cucumber salad, swt potato fries, roll of your choice in my case california roll, edamame and a mini slider. While the selection varied it was again very salty. The california roll was mediocre, the edamame again salt chunks, swt potato fries a little soggy but okay and the cucumber salad I barely touched because I wasnt sure what it was suppose to taste like. However the mini slider bomb.com so I guess the winner here is the burger and surprisingly it wasnt salty or soggy but had just enough juicyness with savory and soft meat. I would stop by just for the ambiance and also because its kid friendly but would only order a burger instead of any sushi. The wait staff was very prompt and quick to accommodate the children overall its not a bad place but also not amazing.
