  • My husband treated us to BLT Steak for our 3-year wedding anniversary, and this was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. We were seated in a quiet corner booth, with plush seating and pillows. The table was nicely decorated with a small rock/water/plant vase and a single candle. Super romantic and elegant. We had the best server... King Kujo (excuse the spelling??), who we have had before and again, he didn't disappoint at all. He was super attentive, and sweet, and funny. He added to the perfect atmosphere! The restaurant starts you out with chicken liver pate and bread, which I tried (my husband wasn't too daring), but quickly dismissed. I'm sure it's excellent if you like this! They also bring you their popovers, which are huge, hollow muffins with gruyere cheese, served with REAL butter and sea salt. Oh. My. God. These are worth the trip alone! I tried their raspberry mule as my before dinner drink, which was so refreshing. I ordered off the Blackboard Menu, which is essentially a 3-course dinner, so I started with the mushroom risotto. I love risotto and am very picky about it, and this was so creamy and flavorful; my new favorite in town! My husband order the rib-eye and I order the NY strip, both medium-rare. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, and seasoned with just the right amount of salt and pepper. The melted garlic butter on top makes the steak go from A to A+. For dessert, Kujo brought us out their red-velvet cake with vanilla ice cream, which was to die for. I'm not a huge red-velvet fan, but this was so moist and fluffy and yummy, I almost ate the entire slice. Since it was our anniversary, they discounted our check and comped the dessert as a thank you for celebrating with BLT Steak. So sweet! And be prepared to have a staff with impeccable customer service: never an empty plate left on the table, wiping the crumbs after every course, and folding your napkin when you go to the restroom. Dinner took roughly 2 1/2 hours, and it was nice to sit and eat a delicious, formal meal, and not be rushed thru it. The final verdict: A++ Pros: Everything! Of course the steak is the best in town, and the red-velvet cake is a MUST! Cons: Our booth didn't come with a blanket to nap after all of that food! Haha!
