I will preface by saying that I own two coffee shops in Minnesota and I was excited to visit the "best shop in town". First off, I was treated like I'm an idiot that doesn't know anything about coffee, and I'm from the states and was visiting. Usually people in Toronto are super nice and willing to help, but maybe this guy had some negative view towards American or something. He had a very USA-hipster haircut though! ;) I asked the barista if I could pay with usd (virtually everywhere I go takes it) because I needed some Canadian change, and he mocked me and made me pay with Canadian. No biggie though, was moving on. Coffee was ok at best, I don't particularly enjoy coffee grounds in the bottom of my cups but whatever. I also noticed the shot was timed very poorly-10-15 seconds tops. Don't expect good latte art. There are much better locally owned spots within walking distance-skip over this one if visiting!
