| - I should have read the reviews before wasting my time at this practice. My first experience was terrible. I, too, was attracted by the availability and extended hours. I met with Dr. Johnston for my first visit and was underwhelmed. I described my concerns and she did little to comfort, validate, or explain ANYTHING! She ordered blood work, which she did not explain either. I had some concerns and asked about a referral for a colonoscopy, which she dismissed and I will now likely need one because my symptoms have progressed. She did not discuss follow-up nor direct me in any direction other than ordering labs and some testing. They have phlebotomy in house and although I waited more than 30 minutes to get my blood drawn...that was the most pleasant part of my visit because the phlebotomist was warm, apologetic and caring! I followed up with the appropriate testing and asked that the results also be sent to my OBGYN because I feared that I would not receive them otherwise, which was one of the best decisions I made. I called Arrowhead Health multiple times to receive the results, but Dr. Johnston did not review them. That was fine because my OBGYN office called me without my prompting. I'm glad they did because there were findings that required quite the follow-up. Nearly a month later, I received correspondence from Dr. Johnston's office. Despite all this, I let it go. I thought maybe this was one isolated situation, but I was proven wrong again. Today I contacted this office 4 times to ask for a referral because I refuse to be seen for anything semi-serious in this office. Despite my attempts and requests that it was urgent, I received no correspondence. With each contact, staff members were confused, lacking basic knowledge regarding referrals and unhelpful in general. How is this business still open? Stay away from this practice at all cost. Find a facility that is actually invested in patient care because it is evident that this place couldn't care less!
