  • After months of anticipation I was finally able to do the ferris wheel experience and it was the time of my life to say the very least. Somehow my wife convinced the height freaks of my family to go on here, but go figure once up there they weren't even phased at all..We all wanted to do the happy hour which at $52 for non-locals isn't that bad..I know it was discounted for locals, but not exactly sure of the price on that one as my step mom surprised us with tickets instead..Grr! Ha-ha The pod itself is massive in size from an outside look and even on the inside it was more roomy even with the bar in it than I had anticipated. Our pod alone had maybe like 20 people in it and there was still plenty of walking space so I'm glad it wasn't wall to wall personal space invasions or my review would be much different! The view is amazing and at night it is a thing of beauty..I did get quite a tip for anyone wondering what the best time would be..We went at 7:40pm and I guess some guy had calculated this enough to time it with the Bellagio fountains..So come 8:00pm when we reached the top of the wheel we had the view and a picture to catch the fountain show as well in the background..That was certainly well worth the price in full! I do have to recognize our bartender, Reece, as he was outstanding. I think between our group we tipped him about $30, but it was well deserved..He kept such a positive vibe the entire outing and honestly if you're genuinely nice to the guy he certainly keeps you well taken care of drink wise (if you know what I mean)..I think between the 3 drinks I had I could've burned a hair leg with the amount of alcohol I consumed in that short of a time..Ha-ha! The coolest thing he did was when I attempted to get a final drink..I initially wanted to try the famous gummy bear shot, but was running out of time to get it for various reasons..He ended up making me a gummy bear drink for the road instead..How cool is that? I really hope he is there for us next year!
