  • Fresh + Simple = Delicious This was my first outing to Pane Bianco. I have been to the pizzeria and it was great. So I have been trying to make my way to Pane Bianco for a few months. On a whim I decided to stop by for lunch. I totally forgot they are only open a few hours and made it in a few minutes after 2pm. Upon my arrival it was packed inside. However, the staff is very observant. They greeted me promptly and motioned for me to come place my order as so not to get caught up with the people that were waiting for their food. I place my order mozzarella, tomato and basil sandwich. The market sandwich of the day sounded really good, lamb and arugula. But it was already sold out. Ohh well maybe next time. As I waited for my food with my stomach beating a hole in my back I noticed how neat the place was. Also how organized the system was. I have to say I did wait about 30 mins for my food. But the smart folks called their orders in. If you know you are going there I would highly suggest doing this. It could be a time saver. Now I know. My name is finally called and I am happy as a pig in crap. I make my way over to one of the tables outside to partake in this wonderful creation. My sandwich looks like a perfect slice of heaven. The basil, oil and pepper tickle my nose as I get ready to take a bite. It is so great to anticipate something and for your expectations to be met. The bread was crusty, the basil so very fresh, the tomato just right and the CHEESE. OMG this is the best mozzarella cheese I have ever had. As I ate my sandwich and drinking their version of Sprite, which by the way was one of the best sodas I ever had. I dropped a piece of my cheese on the table. What to do? Eat it or not. Ohh dilemmas...I did not eat it but I felt awful that this piece was lost to the gross factor. But my spirits rose again when I saw I had a little piece of chocolate waiting for me at the end of my meal. Whoa baby...now you really have made my day. After I ate at the pizzeria a few months ago. I refused to eat pizza anywhere else for quite some time. Every time I thought of pizza I remembered what I had at Bianco's. So I am guessing the same will happen with sandwiches. It is hard to go back to mediocre or even good after you have one of these sandwiches. Do yourself a favor, call in your order if you want something of the regular menu or you can relax and enjoy the ambiance, knowing that your slice of heaven is being prepared for you while you wait.
