| - Not as good as it gets, but pretty close.
Amazing food trucks, great weather, and the smell of fried gluttony in the air really made for a fun event. I actually came here twice, once during the day and once during the evening.
During the day I played a little disc golf and cruised into the event looking for a snack. My foodie partner was in a time crunch, so we couldn't really explore the event too much. We did a quick walk through and most of the spots I wanted to try had long lines, so we just went with Hot Diggity Dog. This food truck is perfect for the non-adventurous eater or kids; chicken fingers, fries and hot dogs. I ordered a polish dog with the works; onions, chili, sauerkraut, and relish. It was good, just like a basic ballpark hot dog nothing special. The chili was the highlight of the dog with that perfect hint of spice.
During my second trip I was able to try TruckU Barbecue, Oming's Kitchen, and Cousins Main Lobster. There wasn't much food left by the time I made my second trip, so I'll just focus on the best of the three, which was, TruckU. The Burnt End burrito was just amazing, tender burnt pieces, Oaxacan BBQ Aioli, Coleslaw, with Duck Fat Fries and Monterey Jack. This was the business and pretty much best thing I ate all day, plus it was huge! You totally get your money's worth.
The burnt burrito was the hit of the event. I talked to a few Yelpers and this was the main item they brought up when I asked what they liked best.
This should be a twice a year event, if it isn't already.
