Halles d'anjou is a great little shopping mall that contains cheese stores, bakeries/pastry shops, fruit and veggie store, fish market and butcher shops. It's a good place to shop if you'd like to buy high end and imported products. Some stores are on the pricey side but majority of stores offer good quality products, therefore you get what you paid for.
In the summer time, local farmers come to set up shop near the entrance of the mall during early morning and mid-afternoon. You could find everything from fine herbs to local strawberries and corn on the cob. Merchants also sell farmer's preserves like fruit ketchup and jam. Special Quebec merchandise like blueberry wine from Lac St.Jean can be found as well.
