  • I scheduled my move for a Saturday weeks in advance. The day before my move they called to tell me they would move me in the afternoon. Around 2:30pm on the day of my move they call me and tell me they had one truck that didn't go out that morning and they were running behind. They asked if I could wait until Monday to move. I told them that I couldn't because of work and other move related things I had planned. The person I was speaking with told me they weren't open on Sundays so if they couldn't do it as scheduled (that afternoon) I'd have to wait until Monday. I reiterated that Monday wouldn't work for me and I had to move that weekend. They told me they would call back. I thought waiting until 2:30 to tell me they were down a truck and couldn't move me was pretty lame, they should have called me way earlier to at least warn me that this might be an issue so I could plan accordingly. About an hour later they called back to tell me they couldn't move me as scheduled but they would come the following morning (Sunday). Although this is not ideal it would have been acceptable but for the fact that the person I was speaking with made it sound like he was doing me favor and made me feel guilty for not letting them put my move off to Monday. I thought that was pretty messed up for them to guilt trip me but I really needed to get moved so I didn't say anything about how rude it was. Then when the movers showed up they reminded me right off the bat and several times throughout the move that they were working on their day off and that their families weren't happy that they were working. The guys were very nice, chatty and did everything I asked of them but I thought the guilt tripping me about working on their day off was pretty unprofessional. I also felt like they were rubbing it in to try to get me to give them a big tip which was pretty annoying. They also kept talking about tips in front of me. Personally I don't think they should be asking for, talking about or accepting tips. In the end they got me moved and I'm thankful for that but I think they lack professionalism. I think a good company would do everything in their power to get you moved as scheduled and if they couldn't, offer a steep discount for the inconvenience and get you moved the next day or whenever is the next most convenient day for their customer without making them feel like you're pulling their teeth out, guilt tripping you and making it seem like they're doing you some kind of favor by moving you a day late. Mind you, I understand that things happen, people get sick or whatever caused them to not be able to move me as scheduled, but the way they treated me and resolved the issue was bad. I will not be using them in the future and do not/will not recommend them. Wish I would have came to Yelp before picking them; would have seen how bad the reviews were and taken my business elsewhere.
