I only did take out so I can't comment on dine-in service. It was a late Friday night and the restaurant was not that busy. My sandwich was literally ready to go in like 2 minutes, so I am very happy with the fast service. The server who took my order was very nice.
My sandwich was "medium". Although the size is a bit questionable in a general sense, the meat was stacked enough. Since my experience with Schwartz was so disappointing, I have no reference point.
One bite into this sandwich, you will feel that this is VERY peppery. The presence of peppercorns in the sandwich is so strong that all you can taste is peppercorns. I usually like black pepper as a condiment but this was almost too much. The meat was soft and moist enough. By its texture, it looked like brisket. I don't know if smoked meat sandwiches in Montreal get any better than this, but I am ok a journey to find a better one.
