  • My co-worker knew my normal nail spot was booked and therefore recommended I try making an appointment at Kens. I called and made an appointment for the following day. I get there and wait 20 minutes after my appointment to be sat at a spot where one friendly lady set me up for gel removal because my technician must have taken a walk in for extra cash or ran extremely late without regards to appointments. Then finally my girl came over and was nice and I expressed to her since my appointment was over 30 minutes ago I only have 45 minutes. She said that it wouldn't be a problem. An hour or so later I leave tipping more than 20 percent. I leave and automatically notice in the daylight a hair is dried and painted into my nail polish. That night when I showered I started to shampoo my hair and my nails felt like they were going to break by putting any pressure on the edges. I called Kens and told them I will need to come in and expressed the hair. They didn't apologize or seemed concerned over the phone. Instead I come in two days later and the lady who seemed to be in charge came off annoyed that I was back. She had another nail technician come to me and I had her feel the strength of my nails. I even said if it's your guys's gel I can go somewhere else or if you think it's just the way someone had done it previously you let me know. She said no problem they can fix it and sorry about the hair she continue to finish my manicure and at the end I go to the station where the original woman I spoke with tries to charge me for a full gel manicure again!!! As soon as I looked at her and said I was here two days ago I called over the phone and already told hee the situation and that I'm not paying for that she automatically said okay.. Maybe she thought i was a pushover. Ridiculous i left a second time after tipping 10 dollars to this second nail tech for "fixing" my manicure. After I left I felt my nails and they still felt like the weakest they've ever felt. I have strong nails and I never need acrylic. Another day goes by I go to my normal nail tech told him the situation and he said it's because they're cheap with their gel and they only do a coat or two. They could have listened to me originally and heard me saying that it wasn't strong and took their time but completely ignored the fact that they could have solved an issue. Ridiculous and way overrated, never returning!!!
