| - I want to let you know why I ONLY ever buy from Findlay Cadillac, even when I'm not in the market for a Cadillac. Ok, I'm ALWAYS in the market for a Cadillac, but I can't afford a new one. But I had planned one buying one in 2010 and went in; met a salesperson, Deb Topham. Within minutes I got a loan through one of their finance bureaus and bought a new, 2010 red Saab convertible and a Saab backed extended warranty. Not quite a Cadillac, but it was awesome! At least until the A/C kept breaking and THEN Saab went completely out of business. My warranty was void and the car had NO RESALE VALUE. Talk about frustrating and heart breaking.
I wrote a letter to the general manager of Findlay Cadillac complaining that I was now forced to pay for the continued repairs of my Saab despite my purchase of an extended warranty. The car was not even two years old. It was falling apart mechanically-what to do? Brian Olsen was asked to work with me by the GM. After we met and spoke about my situation he explained that Findlay Cadillac/Saab lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in Saab inventory and said they, too were in the same situation. I explained to him that their dealership is way better equipped to take the loss than I was and than all of other Saab owners who relied on their warranties. He came up with a solution I felt was fair to both of us. They agreed to just charge me for the parts at cost and no labor charges. This was as fair as it could be without each of us losing everything.
After two years with this worthless, frequently breaking down car I'd had enough; I still owed $22,000 on it, though. I called Deb at Findlay Cadillac and asked her if she could get me a Subaru BRZ. Findlay owns Las Vegas Subaru on Sahara and she sent me over there. I went and when it came time to negotiate I asked the Subaru manager to phone Findlay Cadillac and let the manager know I was trading ion my Saab and could he help me, as the Saab has no trade in or resale value to me. This is what the did; paid of the Saab and none of the payoff was applied to the purchase price of my new Subaru. OMG! WOW! Findlay Cadillac was so honorable they make the old saying, "Never trust a car salesperson," completely wrong. I can and do trust this company and these employees. I highly recommend Findlay Cadillac for anyone who is shopping for ANY brand of car-not just Cadillac. Findlay sells so many brands, you'll find your dream car there!
