Our cat had an emergency and needed emergency vet care in the middle of the night. Fortunately 1st Pet was open and we were able to get him seen right away. We were given a thorough rundown of our options and the pros and cons of each approach (as well as the costs) so we could make a fully informed care choice. Our cat had to stay for several days so we had the opportunity to interact with a lot of the staff - all of which were knowledgeable and compassionate. They were beyond gracious about letting me visit (sometimes twice a day) and would call me with updates.
We did have one small inconvenience - our cat needed to start a prescription food and they forgot to write us a prescription before we left (which I realized at PetSmart about 20 mins later). It took several calls and about an hour to get it fixed (totally get that something like this is not a priority at an emergency clinic) but since my cat needed to be monitored for complications, hanging out at PetSmart for that long was less than ideal.
Overall, the care my cat received was excellent and while I hope we don't have another emergency, we would not hesitate to return to 1st Pet (though I'd recommend checking to make sure you have everything you need before you leave).
