| - Have been using this location for years, and basically dissatisfied for years, but kept going there because of convenience. But after I complete this procedure, I will find a new dentist. I recently lost a filling, I had a very late 7 pm appointment, because that is what they offered me. The dentist seemed rushed but wanted to go into a long explanation about why or why not, he may do a root canal. I finally spoke up and said I have no pain and don't think I need one. Since a piece of tooth on top had broken also, I agreed to a crown. He and the assistant seemed rushed in preparation. The dentist, who was chatty before about a root canal, gave me three quick painful injections, no warning. I flinched at the one in the roof of my mouth. When the assistant came back in to do her work, to push down the gums around the tooth, I felt her hand slip 3 times, the instrument was striking the roof of my mouth. This procedure was 10 days ago, and I still have painful, canker sores on the roof of my mouth! I cannot eat anything but soft mild foods, and cannot have or enjoy my coffee. This is the worst temporary crown I have ever had. It is very rough, and much wider than the teeth next to it. the assistant informed me my crown takes 3 weeks to complete! Another thing to be aware of, is they will not even allow you to wait till the end of the procedure to collect what you owe.The billing person comes back to the room to get your debit/credit card and take it up front before the dentist starts his work. Another thing is: THEY MAKE YOU SIGN SOMETHING SAYING YOU AGREE TO PAY $200.00 IF YOU CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT WITHOUT GIVING A 48 HR NOTICE! If you do not sign it, I was told, they will not see you. There is nothing Tender about this dental office.
Update, I have now completed the procedure. I think the dentist and assistant had read the review, because I got the cold shoulder. I told the assistant about the sores in the top of my mouth and got no apology, just that my gum may be sore. I am so far pleased with the crown, but not the price. I am no expert on prices but they billed my ins. $2,000.00 for the crown and x-rays. Of course there is an allowable amount, Thank God, but I still wound up paying $500.
Two times in the last 2 years, I arrived for my cleaning appt. to find that they had NO hygienist working that day. They did not call me to reschedule. I complained and both times the dentist did the cleaning, so if you like a two minute floss and polish, by all means go there. lol
