| - Family flew into town and we visited Wet' N 'Wild on Sunday 5/15. Wow....what a disorganized train wreck this place is. Our group arrived in 2 vehicles, I was in the first vehicle and paid for both vehicles (we were back to back). The attendant then proceeded to charge the 2nd vehicle a 2nd time. When I got out of the car and asked the attendant what happened, he said he forgot and could not issue a refund. He informed us the refund would be handled at the ticketing windows. After parking we then stood in the ticketing line for 47 minutes. After what seemed like forever, it was finally our turn to approached the ticketing agent. Getting the refund was a nightmare. (It should be noted that at this point, every interaction with an employee made it apparent that A) They are all high school kids, and B) received little to no training). As we waited for the refund mess to be figured out, it seemed every person next to us had some sort of issue, mostly with season passes or deals that were on the website were no longer offered or never existed in the first place. Also of note, there was a giant permanent sign next to the ticketing window that read "Rides that are currently shut down". This prompted the question "You just opened for the season. Is your maintenance cycle so horrible that you need a permanent sign to notify your patrons of what rides are out of service?". In my humble opinion, ticket prices should reflect the percentage of available rides.
So now that we are finally in the park (get used to waiting in lines) we wanted to relax on the lazy river. Don't get your hopes up of floating down the lazy river in an inner-tube though. It appeared that only 20% or so of patrons had a tube. The rest were just wading through, getting bumped into by those lucky enough to snag an inner-tube.
Finally it's lunch time! I'm starving and not really expecting great food from a water park, expectations for this place are now at rock bottom so I should be fine. Where there is a will, there is a way. Wet' N 'Wild is now determined smash any hope that I have left. So their main eatery was the most disorganized cluster of chaos I've ever seen. There are maybe 4-5 cash registers that have no queues or formal lines. You kind of just stand in a jumbled mess and hope you make your way to the attendant. You eventually place your order and are handed your receipt. There are no signs, nobody tells you how this mess works, no queues-nothing. You then need to fight your way to the windows (they are about 20 feet behind the cash registers). If you were a timid person afraid of human interaction, you would literally starve to death as the best of humanity tramples over you to get their overpriced burger. So to recap, you place your order at the cash register (which is in no way connected to the kitchen) you then fight your way to the window, present your receipt and the employees working in there just kind of bounce around from person to person piecing your meal together. The employee then notified me that they were out of Pepsi. By this point I didn't care, I just wanted to get out of the mosh pit. I work my way over to the lovely condiments table. They were out of forks and ketchup. This was the point where I realized this has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my entire life.
It would be safe to say I will not be returning. Not only that but I will actively let all my friends and family know to avoid this place at all costs. The reality of this park is that they recently opened for the season, the majority of their employees are high school kids that have a typical high school kid attitude, and seemed to have received little to no training. There isn't much in Vegas in terms of waterparks so they don't need to provide any level of customer service. I'm sad that as a society, this is the best we can muster.
