  • It is rare that I post any reviews anywhere, but when I do it is either because the service was phenomenal, or on the other end of the spectrum as terrible. This review fits into the second category. Many years ago, I used to work in Phoenix, and used to eat lunch at the George and Dragon. I used to be served promptly, the food was delicious, and I enjoyed the place. But time has not been kind to this place. We went on 03/22/2014 We were kept waiting for 15 minutes before our 'server' brought us menus. We kept having to ask for refills on our sodas. We placed our order, and she didn't write anything down, which is actually a peeve of mine. We noticed other people came in, were seated, and then because they ordered alcohol were served their meals promptly, and the server scurried over to refill their drinks. We called another server over twice to ask for refills, and he couldn't be bothered. We ended up waiting almost an hour and a half before we ended up paying for our drinks and leaving. We complained to the manager but he didn't seem to care either. We walked out, and warned other patrons going in. It is sad that what was a good place has slipped so far, and that the only customers that matter are those that order alcohol. Avoid this place. Terrible service. Enough said.
