  • I've been going to Van's since I moved to Toronto in 2008. Longer than Yelp's been around! It never occurred to me to write a review, but I stumbled on his Yelp page and couldn't resist. And reviews for places like Van's are what I love about Yelp: its a small family run business without an Internet site, and I never would have found it in 2008 (or now) if not for my roommate. Any, I'm getting off topic. Like many of the reviews said, Van is a great barber. He takes the time to get it just right. He remembers your preferred length and cut perfectly. And he's great to talk to. And another reviewer mentioned that a couple years ago there was a very brusque guy who seemed to be in charge. I remember that too. I think he was just around briefly while the owners had to deal with a medical emergency. He wasn't the greatest, but he's gone. Can't recommend Van enough. He's great!
