| - Been waiting over an hour so far, and it's 4pm. The wait time is 30 minutes, supposedly. Not sure why they are so far off on the estimation. There is probably 50-60 people waiting to be seen. This is completely unacceptable.
10 minutes has passed, and I'm done patiently waiting for my name to be called to see a doctor so I just walked up to triage, and asked "what is taking so long?"
Apparently the 34 minute wait time that Yelp displays is the time it takes to see triage (would have been nice to understand that before expecting to be seen by a doctor in 30 minutes.) I saw the triage person the moment I walked in and assumed that was standard hospital practice to "check in" the guests as they walk in, do a 3 minute evaluation, and have em sit down to wait the waiting time of 30 minutes to see a doctor. But apparently that's not the case, so I asked how long to see a doctor. Her response was that she had no clue. She told me that the longest person has currently been waiting for 3 hours. So I gave her back my wrist band and said "take me off the list."
No way I am spending all evening hoping I'll see a doctor before dinner, when I got there at 3pm.
Is there a shortage of doctors in Las Vegas? We have at least 6 or 7 hospitals spread out around the city, and to service almost 2.5 million Vegans, and the unknown amount of tourists you would expect a much quicker time standard.
I will never go back to centennial hills hospital.
Please learn that customers should not have to wait for 3 hours, or even 1 hour to see a doctor! The HR department needs to hire many more people!
Did obamacare ruin this industry, or is there another underlying issue prompting this ridiculousness?
