| - AVOID, AVOID AVOID!!! AND IF YOU LIVE HERE NOW, MOVE!!
Leslie, the office manager, is THE most AWFUL person I have ever come into contact with, I don't even know where to begin. When I moved in about three years ago, the staff was great. I loved the girl Audrey that I signed the lease with. I should have known when she was gone two weeks later that I was going to have issues with this complex. Almost three years and FIVE management teams later, and we get THIS gem.
After the current team took over, we added a roommate and decided we wanted to move into the three bedroom option. Katie was the girl we worked with from the get go, and we loved her. She had a great personality, and was willing to help us out with making the decision between and two or three bedroom, and took time to answer our questions. We signed the lease, and found out that the original team I signed my lease with did some shady business, and long story short I never actually paid a true security deposit. She worked with us and told us that she would just add what I paid for the first apartment to the new one, and we just needed to pay the difference. After all was said and done, we moved into our new three bedroom and paid two months of rent. And all of the sudden, we now owe the security deposit that we were told was waived. After calling the office and speaking to Leslie, she informed us that Katie had been let go and hadn't run it through her, so she wasn't going to waive the fee and we needed to pay it or move out. Excuse me?!
Fast forward to this week, we paid our rent online and have been waiting for a week and a half for the money to pull. What do we find? A notice on our door stating we need to pay rent in the next five days or we're out! Many foul words and a phone call later, my fiancé calls and they say our account was "closed" and the payment bounced. I've had this account for 10 YEARS. It has never been closed once. We've made every single payment for this complex with that account. The funds were in the account, there was NO reason for that money to bounce. So we went to our bank and had them pull all recent transactions and bank statements, and there was NEVER any attempt made to take the payment from the account. Leslie is now trying to back track and say that she's getting the "proof" from her higher ups that it bounced, but if it shows that the account was somehow closed for the thirty seconds they apparently tried to pull it, she is still charging us the late fees. We have TWO confirmation numbers that show we sent the payment through.
They are money hungry, conniving, and all around horrendous in customer service. They have had rats, fire ants, thieves, and break ins. DO NOT MOVE HERE. And if you live here, GET THE HELL OUT. I know we will be.
