Is it bad that I just wasn't very WOW-ed? I know that the performers obviously put a lot of sweat and tears into perfecting their art, but I felt like Mystere did not captivate me as well as KA did. This was my second Cirque show and my boyfriend's first.
Just like KA, Mystere also had a preshow which was definitely very very fun. I'm pretty sure the preshow for KA was staged, but I don't think the one at Mystere was staged, which makes it all that much better. Additionally, we actually walked by the theater earlier that day and they had the theater open for the public to watch the performers practice. That was pretty cool!
My favorite part was when the performers were jumping between the poles. That is awful imagery, but that's definitely the most memorable part of the show for me.
All in all, I'm glad I got discounted tickets for Mystere. Check their website; they often have deals on tickets. It is not a bad show for those dipping their feet into the Cirque world for the first time, but it's definitely not the best show on the Strip.
