My first mistake was going to Wal-Mart on the first Friday of the month; I won't make that mistake again. We get to the 20 items or less lane. There was a customer about two people in front of us that had uniform shirts hanging on the front of the cart. I couldn't see into her cart so I assumed that was all she had. Oh no; she had at least 100 items in her cart and the cashier said NOTHING to her. My husband challenged the cashier asking her why she didn't say something to the customer and he was told they can't turn the customer away. If that's the case then why have an express lane? I was super irritated as was my husband so I waited until Saturday morning to call and speak to a manager (I was afraid I might have been a little ugly if I had done it Friday night). I did get an apology from the manager I spoke to (Victor) and he tells me that is NOT store policy and he would speak to the cashier. Sure you will, but she probably won't care and will probably do it again. I think the next time I go grocery shopping I'll head to the express lane and see if they let me through.
