| - This McDonald's is located inside the Alexis Nihon shopping center which is connected to the Atwater metro station.
As McDonald's go, based on the amount of foot traffic, I would say that this McDonald's is a bit on the smaller side. It is noisier and busier than most McDonald's because of its close proximity to Dawson College/CEGEP as well as to a few schools so there will be a lot of noisy and somewhat rowdy students/teenagers here.
I've read through some of the reviews of this McDonald's and I'm not sure if those reviewers are reviewing the same McDonald's that I went to but one reviewer mentioned that it was open 24/7 but it being inside a shopping center, I seriously doubt it but I might be mistaken. In terms of homeless people using this place as a sort of shelter, during my visits, I didn't see any homeless people (or maybe just one or it might have been some old guy with a beard in a long coat). Since this McDonald's is in a shopping mall, generally homeless people will be shooed away or not allowed in the shopping mall itself by mall security. If people think that the one or perhaps two vagrant/homeless people are bad at this McDonald's, they should go to one of the 3 McDonald's along Ste-Catherine Street (near Berri-UQAM, near McGill, and near Peel/Guy) which are not inside a shopping center/mall.
This McDonald's has the push button ordering terminals and self serve soda fountain which I like. Like all McDonald's, it also has free WiFi.
Because this McDonald's is in a shopping center and close to Dawson College/CEGEP as well as to some other school(s), it is sometimes difficult to find a seat. Service (speed) is relatively quick.
