  • My Rosie Bear loves this park with all of her heart. She gives me the evil eye if I don't take her regularly. I take her to the big dog section (20 lbs plus). All of these reviewers who have negative things to say must have forgotten that it is a park for DOGS. Who cares about grass? Rosie loves rolling around in the dirt just as much. The dirtier she is at the end of her play session, the more fun she has had. No, there isn't a fancy water fountain for the dogs, but there is a regular fountain RIGHT outside of the gate and I'm sure it only takes about 10.5 seconds to fill up a bowl or bottle and carry it inside with you. Plus there are some water bowls inside the park, which typically are already filled. So it irks my soul to see people complaining about that, making it seem like there isn't a water fountain for miles. Stop being lazy. If you still insist on being lazy, there are several seating areas in the park: two picnic tables and a few lawn chairs all positioned in the shadier areas for your relaxing pleasure. The dogs are really nice and their owners are great too. Rosie loves interacting with the other dogs more than fetching frisbees and balls. So I guess my only complaint is that sometimes when we go there will only be one or two other dogs there. I've even been on instances where there have been no dogs at all:( Good for pups who are less social, but not so good for my little social butterfly. This week the park is closed for some festival which bums us both out, so I've been taking her to another dog park where the owners are much more uptight and don't let their dogs wrestle and play like they really want to-- not our cup of tea! Can't wait to be back next week!
