| - If you're in Vegas and want a Vegas experience without the chaos of The Strip, this is a great alternative. It has the Vegas flair (zip lines, restaurants, those crazy tall frozen drinks that you can hang around your neck, etc.), without the manic frenzy you can expect on the Strip. There are street performers, but they appear to be licensed or permitted as they all set up their performances inside numbered circles. There are booths selling all sorts of Vegas-related, and general merchandise. There are plenty of casinos, again on a bit of a smaller scale than the casinos on the Strip. Besides the fun restaurants and bars within the actual Fremont Street Experience, the surrounding area also has tons of fun things to do - and it's all walkable.
If you go, check out the Jerky Store on 3rd. Family-owned, and the largest variety of jerky, nuts, and dried fruits I've ever seen!
