I hardly ever write reviews but hopefully management cares enough about their business to re-train their staff.
I walked in and was the only person inside. There were two women at the front desk and both ignored me for at least 3-5mins. Not even a "hey welcome to dollar, I'll be with you in a moment". Nothing.
Finally when I'm acknowledged, she doesn't even look up from her phone. She loudly calls next. Now we are going through the transaction and it's as if there's a guessing game with fees.
I paid for insurance through Expedia & at the counter, was told their insurance isn't acceptable. Using a debit card? There's a credit check. Using a MasterCard credit card? There's a $350 deposit hold. Using AMEX or VISA? It's 15% of the total rental, which turned out to be only $40. After playing the guessing game, I opened my wallet to ask which card would be best, & had to go through 3 cards for her to finally tell me which was the cheapest. That policy should be stated somewhere, so people could have their preferred card in hand to make things faster.
This rental company was the cheapest but if I could bypass their service counter and use only an app, I definitely would. 2 stars only because the car was new.
