Last month I was visiting Phoenix from LA and booked a class during the weekend. I called ahead to inquire whether there would be any extra fees since I was from out of state. The girl that I spoke to on the phone was very pleasant and welcoming and said there would be no fees. She advised that I should show up a couple minutes early to sign a waiver since I had never been to that particular studio before.
The day of the class I went in. I wasn't greeted. I asked about the waiver and the girl behind the desk had no idea what I was talking about and couldn't bring herself to make eye contact with me. The coach came out and greeted the people/regulars that she knew. I saw that everyone had cards (which I now realize were to reserve the treadmills, etc). I asked about them because I didn't know what they were for. The coach told me brusquely that they were for the treadmills but that they were "all taken, so."
I didn't find this the friendliest of places but I'm just visiting. The workout itself was fine.
