Overall a great steakhouse, as one would expect from Jean Georges. It's a modern decor with an amazing view of the Phoenix skyline at the Phoenician hotel. The waiter was above average. He knew he menu and courses everything appropriately. He wasn't overly friendly like a lot of higher end steakhouses.
The bread was fresh and hot, served with butter and coated in sea salt.
The tuna tartare was served over avocado, with radishes and a soy glaze. The tuna itself was fresh and diced perfectly. The avocado mousse was great as well. It wasn't overly salty like most soy based sauces.
The 12 ounce filet was excellent. It was slightly a little past medium rare, but I'm a steak snob so most people wouldn't notice this. The foie gras accompaniment was amazing. They give you a huge portion for the price.
The mashed potatoes, Brussels, and fries were great sides. The side portions are meant to be a la carte, but are not as massive as places like Mortons or Ruth Chris.
Overall a great meal with unbelievable views.
