We came to Galaxy Foam with a template we made from sheets of poster board cut and taped to the shape of our custom concrete bench in front of our fire pit. The half-circle shaped bench was poured in place, so it is not a standard size and we could not find cushions to fit it.
Surprisingly, they did not laugh at our awesome homemade template and told us they would be able to use it for the foam. We went over the benefits of 1, 2, or 3 pieces, and decided three cushions would be the best for this project (both for foam cost and aesthetics). Then we went over the different choices for outdoor foam. Even though it will be covered with Sunbrella fabric, I decided to go with the Open Cell Dry Fast foam because it contains an antimicrobial agent to prevent mold and mildew (I did research prior to arrival to gain a little knowledge on outdoor foam; partially on this site: https://sailrite.wordpress.com/tag/which-type-of-foam-is-best-for-outdoor-cushions/).
The total cost was $150 (the lower grade Polyurethane foam would have been $100) and they cut it while we waited.
If I ever need cushions or other foam in the future, I will definitely use Galaxy! Fast, Inexpensive, and friendly.
