| - I've always been a big Wonderland fan; when I was a little girl I used to go every single year with my family, and we always looked forward to it! I'd also always come home toting a giant stuffed animal that my Dad would win be in an overpriced game! Woohoo! Note: they have POKEMON stuffed animals you can win now! Awesome!
I think my favourite part of Wonderland is actually Splashworks because:
A.) You're burning mad calories walking up ALL those stairs for every slide
B.) It's perfect on those blazing hot days where you need a little relief from the sun
C.) If you're not into water, you can sun tan a bit on the chairs while you wait for you friends and/or family
D.) Lazy river is perfect for... being lazy & enjoyin' dat sun
E.) Who doesn't love going down a big slide?!
My second favourite part of Wonderland? FUNNEL. CAKE. It's like a Wonderland ritual. I cannot go to Wonderland and skip the delicious Funnel Cake. $13 may sound pricey, but this thing is HUGE. Unless you are extremely hungry for sweets and devour whole pies or cakes on the reg, you can make this Funnel Cake a 4 person job, dropping the price per person down to about $3 and some change.
The rides, of course, are obviously fun and cool. I'm not a BIG fan of going upside down, so I favour rollercoasters like Leviathan and Behemoth. You get the thrill and the speed and the height, which is what I look for in a good roller coaster! They are comfortable, too. Not super rickety and jolty like the wooden ones, and you won't bang your head against the shoulder harness because there is none! Woohoo!
They've expanded the Kids Zone a bit since back in the early Wonderland days, so it's a great place to come if you have little ones, too. Most rides have "Stroller Parking." Note: if you're solo or with a group of adults they won't let you go on most rides in the Kids Zone unless you have a kid with you. My friends and I were rejected from the swans =(.
If you're going to go more than once a year, invest in a seasons pass - it is much cheaper that way. Also, when you renew the next year it does not cost as much as your first year. They also have a payment plan if you can't/don't want to fork up all the money at once.
All in all, a great place to spend the day (though I try to avoid weekends in the summer since they get NUTS)
