| - Pretty disappointing. I suffer from severe nasal swelling and for the past few years I've been relying on a steroid shot (Kenalog) to breathe properly. I was hoping for a more permanent solution like surgery. The doctor I saw put me on more meds-prednisone, Singulair, and a nasal spray. Prednisone works, but it's short term relief. The other meds are ineffective. I went back today, 2 weeks before my scheduled follow up visit because I could not breathe through my nose at all. I saw the same Doctor, who asked me, "have you tried Afrin?" Since I also suffer from sleep apnea, I am in constant fear that I will stop breathing in my sleep and not wake up. Apparently, Afrin is the best they could come up with. Wow. I'm now waiting to hear from another specialist that they referred me to. Who knows how long that will take? I even tried to get a steroid shot as a last resort. 2 weeks earlier, the doctor told me that they administer them. When I asked about it today, she looked at me like I was insane. I'm completely baffled.
6/13/17 - Nearly impossible to schedule an appointment here. Took me 3 tries to reach a human being, who then proceeded to transfer me to the nurse practitioner. They usually don't pick up, and once again I had to leave a voicemail. In one instance, they never called me back. I called early today, and haven't heard from them. Maybe tomorrow....
