Our family was going out of town for spring break and decided to board our Gypsy Rose at the Pet Hotel here at this location. We used them once before and had a good experience so decided to try them out again for our new girl.
Our poor Gypsy was so scared to even go into the store, she's kind of a diva and a homebody so she's not used to being out and about too often. We walked her in the store and she froze in the doorway, layed down and would not move! I didn't know what to do, she weighs well over 70 lbs and was to heavy for me to try and move her or pick her up. I asked the cashier if he had someone who could help me try to coax her up so we could get her over to the hotel. A manager came over to help, Mel was her name, she tried giving Gypsy treats and attention in hopes getting her to move, no luck. Mel had the great idea of having us walk out of the store and she moved the carpet from the doorway so Gypsy had no where to sit and she suggested we trot her in and it worked! Thx to Mel we were able to get Gypsy to the hotel and I knew she was in good hands. The young lady who checked us in for our reservation was also super helpful and attentive and very caring towards our dog. Thanks again to Mel and her team for helping to turn a stressful situation into a good one.
