| - I am a very honest, kind-hearted person, and Value Card Alliance mislead me from the very beginning. Although I made some trade, the amount of money that was debited from my bank account pretty much made me break even. I was completely mislead & told 100% beyond a doubt by the co-owner that the cost would only be the monthly fee & that the service was "always free". I was charged a couple hundred dollars for Christie, the OWNER of this company to take a piece of my handmade jewelry for trade credit. This is completely unethical, and inexcusable. I had not received a copy of my "contract" that I never signed and was completely lied to about via phone, until I saw cash money being debited from my account. I urge you to thoroughly check what you're getting into before dealing with VCA. When trying to work out a fair arrangement, the owners would not budge one bit although I had been deliberately lied to by one of them. I truly feel bad for the customer service reps who are all very nice, who have to take the heat when these thieves rob people. I even had most of them agree with me and tell me they knew for sure that the owners would have mislead me and lied about the "service transaction fees". Also, there's this: "Earlier this fall, Attorney General's Office filed charges against Christie Lee Acevedo, 41, and Natasha Rae Harper, 27, both of Anthem, for their involvement with the fraudulent raffle on behalf of a nonprofit organization called the American Foundation for Childhood Obesity, also known by the acronym "AMFFCO".
The charges allege that the raffle was never registered as required by law, and that the foundation never intended to provide the prize.
Both Acevedo and Harper have pleaded guilty and admitted their roles in the fraud.
Harper was sentenced earlier this week by Commissioner Kathleen Mead to two years probation and Acevedo is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 5."
They are still trying to get money from me that I never agreed to pay or was warned or told about, sending me a contract that I never saw, agreed to, or signed. A contract is between 2 agreeing parties. To try and collect otherwise is highly illegal. I am compiling a contact list of other businesses & individuals who they tried to pull this on in the past & present, and I encourage you all to send me a message if you'd like to help get involved. Thank you.
