  • The staff is friendly but business practices are shady. Paid $700 on top of my insurance being billed to have a root canal and crown put in place, only to be told that they did not have the tools to perform the root canal once they had me numbed up and half of my tooth drilled off. They said that I would have to go to an endodontic specialist in the other side of town to have the root canal completed. Saying that when they looked at my X-Rays they knew that my roots were to curves for their tools and they wouldn't be able to do the root canal "But we had to try anyway.". The endodontist that they referred me to specifically quoted me another $350 to have the procedure done. At this point I was already broke from paying Hi-Tech dental and had to go home with some pain meds and hope for the best. I had to leave the oversized, poorly fitting, sorry excuse for a crown (which developed a hole in less than a week) left on my opened tooth and wait. I finally managed to go to a much more reputable dentist to have the procedures completed only to find out that Hi-Tech dental charged my insurance for a permanent crown and I now have to come up with the funds out of pocket until we can prove to my insurance company that the crown is a piece of crap and isn't even as good as a temporary crown in order for me to get reimbursed for paying for it myself. This office is horrible and feels like a scam.
