| - We were in Pittsburgh exploring the city over the Easter long weekend - 2 adults, 3 kids aged 11,8,7. My husband had heard of this place before, and tour guide on Gateway Clipper reco'd it. We ended up driving around the downtown area but a lot was closed, so we circled back around to Grill 36. It was almost empty, so the service was friendly and fast. Good upscale pub menu, lots of TV's playing sports, good beer selection. We had nachos as an app- amazing. The queso was def house made, as was the chili. For mains, kids devoured mac and cheese, pulled pork sliders, and chicken tenders (the real meat kind!). Fries were hot and crispy. Hubs has farmyard burger - topped with OE egg; said it was amazing. I had pan fried chicken, which was lightly breaded, and served with bacon cream gravy, garlic mashed red skins, and asparagus. It was FANTASTIC. Table next to us had wings that smelled amazing. Server told us 95% of their items are made in house, and you could tell. Thoroughly enjoyed Grill 36.
