Came back today. I don't know what happened.
Let me start with the bad. The animals look sick. Many geckos looked thin, with their spines exposed, along with bad kinks in their tails. I suspect many of them to have high parasitic loads. The tanks are also overcrowded.
Last time I came I saw some mites in the snake tanks. Told a lady about it and she said they'll clean it as soon as possible. Today I STILL saw tanks with mites.
The dwarf hamster cage was the worst. I counted 4 hamsters with scratched up faces. And one hamster in particular had a skin condition of some sort because it was losing fur on the bottom half of its body. It also appeared to have some sort of tumor next to its tail. Some sort of bulging mass. I can tell because it had no fur at all there... told a lady at the store and she said they didn't have room to move the injured hamsters. So it's basically doomed.
And yeah it's still dusty and there are cobwebs in some hamster and bird cages.
Very depressed...
On the positive side they moved locations so they have a lot more room for supplies. So they have some great supplies and it looks like their selections are getting better. Prices are still high but the items are good.
I hope things improve. They did just move locations so that is probably contributing to the bad state of the animals. I don't think the people do not care. I just think they are busy with the move. Still, there is no excuse for the conditions of some of these animals.
