rev:text	It was an amazing well-spent afternoon at the porch! Thanks to Yelp and the Porch for hosting this event. The open bar was a surprise. The fresh watermelon juice was a great refresher on a warm summer day in Pittsburgh. The outdoor seating area is a nice transition from the bar and the indoor dining area. The open ventilation is covered with meshed blinds that allow the fresh breeze in, but it the same time shield you from the bright afternoon sunlight. After being to the Porch at schenley multiple times, the outdoor seating at this Porch seemed more welcoming. Coming to the food, the samplers were great. I got to try the honey BBQ chicken wings, crab cakes, BLT crostini, and some cheese from the cheese board. I was last is the line and didnot get to try the heirloom tomatoe flatbread that I was looking forward to. I loved the chicken wings. The flavor was spot on and the meat is tender and juicy. The crab cakes were delicious too. The seasoning was spot on and I will probably order these two when I visit them next. They had a variety of cheese with grapes and olives and also honeycomb. I don't remember the type of cheese I had. But, cheese is always delicious!! BLT crostini was very tasty. The flavor combination was fresh and tasty. I will remember to look out for this when I visit them next. The gardening session was my favorite part of the afternoon. We got to learn about Grow Pittsburgh and pot a marigold plant and the best part is we could bring that home. I also learned a few things about the vegetables and herbs gardening from the executive chef! I loved the event and I will make I go back to the Porch with friends!!
