I went for my birthday on a Thursday around 6 and the restaurant was not very busy, there were tons of open tables and no one at the bar. All the servers were very nice but it took over 10 minutes to get our water then another 15 minutes to take our order. We didn't get out of the restaurant until 830.
I had gone twice to Lidia's around a year ago and the food was phenomenal, the restaurant was busy as could be and we still got our food at a reasonable time.
This time around, we all order the pasta trio and the shrimp pasta was tasteless with the shrimp being so tiny and over cooked. I do not eat meat and the one pasta had meat so I asked the server if I could just have a pasta with red sauce instead but she was very hesitant to asked the chef and never came back to tell us if he was able to do it or not. The only this I got seconds of was the gnocchi which was good but so rich it was hard to eat more of. I was very disappointed to come here for my birthday and have fine dining food be so tasteless.
