  • Went there for the beignets , the Potato Egg Rolls anything with Niman Ranch Bacon. It was late....too late to eat food, just needed some finger foods. Found out the only Niman Ranch Bacon is available on the salads. Not sure why the BLT's do not have the Niman Ranch Bacon? Nevertheless, the Chef fried us up a bunch of Niman Ranch Bacon Pieces. This photo may not look like much, but these are pure bacon pieces of heaven in your mouth. There is nothing like Niman Ranch Bacon EVER!.... this is not on the menu, but should be, I would pay $10-15 just for these Niman Ranch Bacon pieces....YUM! I have had Cafe Du Monde and I love them. But, New Orleans is a little to far just to get some beignets. The beignets at the Grand Lux are very, very, very delicious. They give Cafe Du Monde some competition. For the potato lover, I would definitely suggest the Stuffed Potato Egg Roll It is stuffed with gooey cheesy mash potatoes and off course bacon, sour cream and more cheese on top. Skip the buffets....come here, open until 3am on weekends!
