  • HORRIBLE! I have been a verizon customer for 8 year and was treated like I was a 2 week customer... 3 weeks ago Verizon charged me $120+ extra on my bill for no reason... I called to have it removed and they wouldn't because I didn't know my password that I created 8 years ago... My mother co signed and/or set up the account 8 years ago when I was 18 ( I have paid the entire 8 years though)... I couldn't get my account fixed without her SS#... after finally getting a hold of her I told verizon to change name to mine... it's been my account and only my account(1 line) since 2007... they changed it and I went along my way... I look online and see I have an early upgrade available since my 2 years is coming up... I go into the store to talk to them about getting that started and they say "Sorry, the way the computer looks at it, you've only been a customer for a couple weeks since you changed the name on the account and you lose all of your privileges" Say what??? My number hasn't changed and the bank account that's been paying hasn't changed... Nobody else has ever used my phone... I change the name and now I become a new customer, not one with privileges & seniority? I call customer service when I leave the store after they tell me I can't do anything except wait till January 1 and upgrade when my 2 years is up(yeah right, I am switching to another carrier)... but when I call customer service the 1st guy said we have issued a ticket to request you get your early upgrade and if we can get your moms SS# we can most likely merge or add her to the account and you will get your privileges back... and they are supposed to call me tomorrow to confirim... I called again an hour later because I needed to give my moms SS# to "merge" the account or get my privileges back or whatever you want to call it and the customer service rep says.. no thats not possible and that we don't issue any sort of tickets for that type of request.. long story short I got 3 different responses and nothing concrete telling me they could help me out.... Switching to At&t or Tmobile next week after I weigh my options with both of them... awful experience... I have had 4-5 issues with Verizon over the past 4 years or so and it always ends in Verizon's favor.
