Just want to give a huge shout out to this hotel. They put up with not only a professional conference, but also a basketball tournament and normal guests. They handled it amazingly and knew how to balance everyone.
This place was an interesting hotel to stay in. By interesting, I mean that some of the rooms were laid out differently and spaced out differently. One friend seriously only had enough room for her bed, her bag, and a bathroom (she stayed in a one bedroom unit). While another person was able to have a spare bed fit into their rooms. Like I said, the lay-outs are different. All rooms function as the same though. No need to get nitpicky on that.
The conference rooms and open areas that they had were beautiful and enjoyable. I would catch myself looking at all the different architecture in the building throughout the conference. If you want to see stunning rooms while at a conference, go to this location. It is amazing.
The negatives that I have for this place is that with the lay-outs being so different some of the rooms had really small bathrooms. Like you almost had to climb into the tub to shut the door small. Another negative was that they hotel put a $400 security deposit on each of the rooms. Now I can understand a $100 deposit, but $400 is a little steep for one room. Unfortunately, these small rooms also means little to no space to get ready at. This makes changing a very challenging task to take on.
Would I stay here again? Probably not. I'm too broke to afford this hotel on my own. Plus, it is down town. Which has little going on in it at night. Though, I would definitely come back to the area.
