I was too excited to stumble upon this restaurant, having loved the locations in Vegas.
Although this is a chain, the individual restaurants must have plenty of autonomy, because there were none of these crazy rules in Vegas. This is the only location in Arizona.
The food is just as wonderful. Yes, the cash thing is completely ridiculous (but they will accept checks with a local address and a local driver's license). But the food is so, so good. I can personally recommend the blueberry pancakes (my old standby), the chorizo (oddly but greatly served with a short stack of plain pancakes), and the cheddar/bacon grits (amazing).
Oh, and don't listen to people who compare this to IHOP. Totally different leagues (this one being far superior).
