My experience is almost exactly like Bryan K.'s review. Got Emergency's business card from the Welcome Wagon when I bought my home. Did'nt do my due diligence and just called them to check on my AC unit. The technician checked everything out and at first said I needed a new capacitor. A few minutes later he asked me to sit down at the kitchen to explain what was going on. I was going to need a new capacitor, cleaning, freon...... He said this would cost $700 but because my units were old he would suggest a 10 year maintenance contract for $1,200. He had his pitch book open on the table and he was pushing the contract super hard. Going on about all the great savings. It made me uncomfortable. I told him all I wanted was to fix the system but he would not let go. He was not leaving until he sold me that maintenance contract. Along with the contract was two complimentary inspections each year. My experience is that this is just an opportunity to get in your house and sell you more parts and service each time. The few times I called them to inspect they came to my home, found deficiencies, charged me for something and recommended I buy a new unit from them. I've since had another company come in who found a small freon leak in my attic. They fixed it at a nominal charge and now everything works great. Even though I still have a maintenance contract with Emergency I will not have them in my home again. I have had many great service experiences in the Phoenix area. My Emergency experince was not one of them.
