I've been here twice, but I can only find my pictures from the second visit. This place is in Chinatown, and can be very easily missed, so keep an eye out for it. Waking into the store, there are only 3 tables for seating, so this place is more of a grab and go place.
The drinks I've had were really nothing special. The OneZo Grapefruit Green tea with the Cactus Tapioca (pictured on the right) and a OneZo Milk Tea with black Sesame Tapioca.
The grapefruit green tea had grapefruit bits in it, the difference was that instead of syrup they use Tropicana Grapefruit juice. I wanted to try the cactus Tapioca due to the special name, but when I bit into it, it wasn't any different.
BUT, let go back to my first drink. The OneZo Milk Tea was very similar to other milk teas, but the black sesame tapioca was very unique. When you bite into the tapioca, a bit of black sesame came out of the tapioca. If you are familiar with the dessert glutinous rice balls filled with black sesame paste (????), then the feeling of these tapiocas are similar. Just a little more chewy, and not as filled with black sesame. Just this tapioca alone made the trip to the place worth it.
Just a note, the price is a little more expensive than the chain bubble tea places like Chatime or PresoTea. And getting the special tapiocas are more pricy, an additional $1.30 for the black sesame tapioca.
