| - I came here around 1pm to enjoy the brunch buffet. I have read so many reviews about this place and the buffet. My first thought was, "Am I really going to eat 50 dollars worth of food?"
I occasionally like to dibble and dab in a buffet here or there. I said YOLO and went to see the hype! There was rope around to indicate they may have long lines for this buffet so I was happy that there was not a line. We just walked right up to the cashier to pay. After you pay, you are given a receipt to stand in another line for the hostess ...BUT wait! A camerawoman comes out to take your photo before you are seated! I'm serious. I was kind of baffled about that since I have never been to a buffet where they want to take your photo and you have the option of purchasing the photo as a souvenir. On a cruise ship, they may do that in the dining room, but a buffet..I dunno. It was interesting.
After we were seated you can order water, tea, fountain drinks. They have Mountain Dew..score!
Food: different varieties (seafood, Italian pastas, Asian dishes, tacos, American food, meats, desserts, fruits). Score ! There were many workers on the other side of the buffet keeping the food warm and refilling items as they got low.
The Poke Salad was the highlight of the meal. Amazing flavor! The mee goreng was delicious! The sushi was good, but it was not easy locating the soy sauce since somebody mixed up the sauces so I ended up with chili oil and soy sauce mixed lol! The dim sum was decent. I was not a fan of the Chicken Satay or Peking duck. Fresh shrimp was delicious. The dessert bar is large with endless options. I loved the mango habanero ice cream. Sweet then had a kick. Hard to choose something good. Their red velvet brownie and the Tiramisu were so yummy! Score!
Overall: the food was pretty decent. I agree with the other reviews that some items were lacking and some items really stood out. This buffet deserves a solid 4 stars. The servers were really nice and accommodating.
