  • When I walk through the Forum Shops and get toward the end of one of the wings and see a large aquarium and statues, I start to get a Pavlov's dog response and I started to get excited and maybe there's a little drool coming from the side of my mouth. It's not because I'm nearing the Atlantis show or Cheesecake Factory, it's because I'm about to enter Niketown. I make this journey every year in late spring when the newest editions of the Nike Free series running shoes come out. For anything Nike, this is as good as it gets for me. I go straight to the upper floor and an associate will get me one pair of the Nike Free 3 and one pair of Nike Free 4. I'll take a short stroll with both on and then take a short run on the treadmill with each shoe. Then I'll decide which pair I'll commit to putting hundreds of miles on. I've been alternating between 3 and 4 the last 3 years. Nike does a good job of varying and improving their models for every sport. Whether you're a fan of Nike or not, they'll have a shoe for the sport of your choice. On my trips to NIketown, I'm also good for grabbing a tee with a motivational saying, or maybe a Dri Fit golf tee. I've always been pleased with the Nike eye wear and timing equipment I've purchased. I even have a Nike back pack that is my most favorite of all time. The non Nike fanatic may think this is just another Nike store, but everything here is the latest Nike has to offer. Don't expect outlet or department store prices, but expect better quality and technology. I've never had a problem with the associates and service. I'm just happy that if I see something new on their website, I don't have to order it and I can go straight to Niketown and pick it up. I've always been a Nike person and unless there is drastic change, I always will be.
