  • Actual rating 2.5. This place looks so cute. And it is local, so I wanted to love it even more. But unfortunately, the three times I have eaten here have all been lackluster. Recently, I brought a few friends here before we hit the theatre. We were looking for quick hearty eats; I thought the third time may be the charm. I was wrong. All three of us ordered the chowder and the chicken pot pie. The chowder tasted like it came from a can and the pie had almost no flavour. More alarmingly, it had almost no chicken. And it took quite a long time to arrive at our table. My biggest beef with the chicken pie, however, was it tasted like it had been microwaved. The pasty was soggy instead of flaky. I implore you, Canadian Pie Company. Step up your game!!!
