  • I had a sudden hearing loss in one ear. I was able to get in to see the PA in my internist's office. She diagnosed a middle ear infection and prescribed an antibiotic. Not any better after 72 hours. Called the PA. She wanted to give a stronger antibiotic. I wanted a second opinion. When I described the hearing loss and lack of response to initial treatment, Dr Palacios agreed to see me as an overbook (even tho I was not a patient prior to this). They got me in right away. He explained the cause of my symptoms and started me on the appropriate medications. The only drawback that I found was when I tried to call the office I got an automated message telling me that they would return the phone call within 24 hours. There are times when you need to get a phone call return in a lot less than 24 hours. So five stars for the doctor and his treatment but only four stars for his office staff.
