  • With farmers markets all over the south end of town ut makes little or no sense to pay the ridiculous prices for second rate produce at Planet Organuc. I'll buy, say, a bell pepper on a Tuesday when the markets are closed and I have no choice, but the prices are - quite literally - stupid. That said, I started shopping here when I discovered the local Community Natural Foods was so poorly managed I couldn't find things like salt or raisins. Planet Organic is overpriced, and hesn't got the selection of other stores, but they seem well run. It's been a few months since I've lived nearby, and this Planet Organic on Elbow Drive seems to be going out of business. The shelves are 1/2 empty. I asked an employee about it and she couldn't explain the lack of product. Sigh. It's an overpriced hipster shop, but it used to have what I need. Here's hoping they figure it out.
