  • Whether you have insurance coverage or are paying privately, inquire fully on their charges. I am awaiting a call back from this company regarding my FIRST billing statement with visits starting from March of this year through July. I have health insurance and they are in network, I have had several questionable charges and need clarification. * Why were my total of 5 visits not billed to me until August? * Why is my total out of pocket responsibility totaling over $500 from those visits when I was seen maybe for 15 minutes or less and mostly seen by the Physician Assistant and not the Dr.? Out of all those visits I have only had one lab work done. My visits were based on existing skin and allergy problems. (I don't have a PCP here in Az.) * IF I would have received my billing after my first visit, I could have opted to no longer use Fastmed and instead visit the local CVS Clinic with their N.P. I have called and emailed numerous times and ONLY 2 1/2 weeks ago the billing manager disclosed that this company inputted my insurance info incorrectly and therefore they could not send me a statement prior to August. What?? Does this sound right?? During our conversation there is still NO resolution and she informed that the P.A.'s, Dr's. or Director would be following up with me to clarify the charges. Today I spoke with one of the Dr's and he has informed he understands my concerns, but at the same time he doesn't have anything to do with billing; and has referred me to speak with the billing department again with management. Hello???? We are in the month of November and my first bill was in August and still no clarification? I have left a message for the billing manager for follow up today. 11/20/13. I initially thought this urgent care was practical since it is local, but from my billing statement it appears they are charging both my insurance and I much more than if you pay up front. My visits have been SHORT, with on average a LONG wait to be seen. My bill does NOT reflect on the time or services charged to both my insurance and what I am apparently NOW responsible for. By the way there is a filtered review from another Yelper if you scroll down whom also complained about the billing, please review it, it seems similar to my experience. * Update to my previous review 5/25/14.* NO resolvement or follow up on Fastmeds end. I paid the balance and will NEVER return or recommend this place due to poor billing department and billing representatives. Customers and patients do your research prior to committing to a visit here. I do highly recommend Walgreens Clinic off of 39th Avenue in Glendale. The nurse practioners and staff are wonderful, services are reasonable. However visits, treatment is limited.
